Next Generation Power Engineering Inc. is a leading manufacture of specialty diesel generators, compressors and welders and exhibits its products at many trade shows a year. Next-Gen became interested in cargo security while looking for ways to protect valuable products and trailers while in transit or parked at the shows.

After a lengthy search of dozens of cargo security devices some good locking mechanisms were found but all were used with weak easy to break or pick locks. At this time Next-Gen was introduced to Xena alarmed locks and determined that this was by far the best lock to use. Not only was it the only affordable all stainless steel lock found. It also had a built in alarm system. Due to the size of the Xena lock and hasp, it could not be properly used on any of the available cargo door locking mechanisms.    

Combining the best features of several of the available products with the bullet proof Xena alarm lock, Next-Gen developed the“Alarmingly Strong Cargo Door Lock”.
